The 2022 NACHC Men’s Youth Championships / IHF Youth Trophy competition will be held from 12 to 17 December in Mexico City. Seven teams, (Cuba, Greenland, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States) will participate.
The teams have been divided into two groups that will play a round robin. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals. The 3rd place team from Group A will play the the 3rd and 4th place teams from Group B and a mini-table will be formed to determine 5th through 7th place.
The winner of the tournament will qualify for the IHF Trophy – Intercontinental Championships. As Guadeloupe and Martinique fall under France for IHF World Championships events the top 2 teams (not counting Guadeloupe and Martinique) will qualify for the 2023 IHF Men’s Jr Handball World Championships in Germany/Greece from 20 June to 2 July.
